The English Room

Most of us will never wrangle an invitation to stay at Kensington Palace, or at one of the royal family's country estates, but you'll definitely find that staying in our English Room is about as close as you can get.

The English Room is an elegant room, decorated throughout with furniture and accessories in the style of the Victorian and Edwardian periods.

It is located on the second floor of the home, with views to the front yard and to the west. Full window shutters allow you to take advantage of these views or to close yourself in for complete privacy.

At one end of the bedroom there is a wonderfully large, four-poster bed that you'll feel like getting lost in. There are English tables on either side should you wish to snuggle up with a good book.

At the other end of the bedroom, you'll find a comfortable, overstuffed chair that provides a convenient place to read or relax. This end of the room also contains an English armoire with concealed flat-screen television and DVD player, and plenty of drawers for all your things. There is also a hanging closet, of course, which is located just inside the room.

 The English Room bath is one of the nicest in the home. It features a rectangular, oversized shower that provides not only the standard shower fixtures but three body jets as well. If it turns out that you find yourself wishing you'd brought your masseur/masseuse with you, don't worry; a few minutes in this elegant shower will make you quickly forget the oversight.

Standard - $110/night

Ruckman Haus is one of the few San Antonio bed & breakfasts that accepts single night stays for Friday or Saturday; the single night rate is $130. We also offer a corporate rate which is available Sunday-Thursday for our single-occupancy business guests.
